7.3/10           – 4o7Ent.com

Rating: 3 out of 5.

In General Rating: Sci-Fi/Action

Reminds me of great cinema times, but adding the cliche quotes and script logic.

Wasn’t a bad watch, deff could see this happening.

I, Robot (2004) Mainstream Movie Ratings:

7.1/10 — It’s in the same range.

57% — I would give it a better score than this, but it sounds right for some reason.

59% – Another harsh review… Geeez.

4o7ENT Movie Ratings:

Genre Rating is based purely on its specific genre.

Mostly personalized to “Hollywood Insiders”: Hollywood Insider Rating: 10/10.

Hollywood Insiders: Yes, looking at the Tesla robots plus the Terminator movie, this would be right up the alley. I think this was a great way at looking at this movie.

The mainstream rating is for people who just want to watch a movie and escape reality—whether for adventure or a good story. As long as the viewer is entertained, it should receive a good rating. This rating only reflects how watchable the movie is regardless of its mainstream perspective/rating: Rating: 6/10. in General Rating: Drama-Mystery/Thriller. For the mainstream they might not like it and find it boring; for thrillers or conspiracy people you will love the movie.

I will place one of these lines in the above examples to show its specific rating for the movie, this allows the movie to have a chance to be seen, but also keeping my word to the potential viewer that they won’t be let down.

I, Robot Movie Review (2004)

Hollywood Insider Rating:  10/10

I, Robot (2004) Key Take-Aways:

* Over All Message: Even if it's not the machine itself, it could be someone from the outside. As the ages come, this becomes more realistic.

* Key Take Away: This could be reality.

* Why is it Worth Watching? Seeing this years ago and seeing it now, and seeing the times, it makes you think if this was a soft disclosure. It was amusing to watch and had action. It was cool to see the last movies of the Hollywood early 2000's era.

* Bad Parts? Wasn't a bad watch. Maybe if someone isn't used to Will Smith it could be off for them, but I think Will was a perfect fit for the movie.

Is I, Robot (2004) The Movie Worth Watching?:

Brief (if you haven’t watched the movie yet): Very accurate to how it would go if robots or AI took over. The movie is entertaining but does have cliche script writing and sum cheesy parts. Besides that, it was action packed and a mystery.

Spoilers (DON’T CLICK UNLESS YOU WATCHED THE MOVIE ALREADY): DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU WATCHED THE MOVIE ALREADY. YOU BEEN WARNED! The movie did a good job of keeping it a mystery. I do see a lot of movies with this logic that a lot of movies with this subject of AI have — humans must be watched. I deff add this to AI movies and would be a great example.

I, Robot (2004) The Good & Bad

  • 1 or 2 watches and that’s it, great movie for sum not so much for others. Worth a watch.

  • Sum cheesy parts.

Rating/Review

Editor’s Choice — Development — ★★★.5: Graphics were amazing and not perfect, but showed certain parts that looked more realistic than nowadays cinema visuals. 3D has come a long way, but puppeteering could be worth experimenting.

  • Staging/Scenery 72.8% · Costume Design 74.2% · VFX/SFX 86.1%

Production — ★★★: Story and direction were great, esp the premise was perfectly done for how AI would go about things or a conspiracy. However, certain parts were rushed and seem like they just quickly wrote something to explain and move the story along. This was lazy or poorly quality checked. And a few cheesy parts. So points off, but stars won’t reflect the negative side. Giving a fair rating but still balancing it.

  • Script 67.8% · Direction 79.9% · Editing 88.1%

Casting/Acting — ★★★.9: Won’t be too harsh because it seemed like the script was more compromised than the cast selection. The cast selection wasn’t bad, and the acting I would say was excellent and everyone fit the part.

  • Cast Selection 93.8% · Acting 90.8% · Chemistry 95.9%

Sound Design — ★★★★: Foley: Great. Sound Effects: Were awesome and the voice to effects mix was excellent.

  • Voice to Effects Mix Ratio 95.8% · Original Composer 94.9% · Soundtrack 87.3%
